Ok I am getting concerned. I gained 50 lbs and have only lost 20. I haven't list any in the past 5 days and I'm starting to think I am going to really need to diet/ work out the whole other 30 lbs off! Or did you continue to lose weight after 2 weeks pp without doing anything? I am BFing so praying that will help too.

Re: Let's talk pg weight loss
Don't worry its only been 2 weeks. Your body and hormones are still all over the place. Give yourself a break and try not to worry about it for a couple more weeks, your body needs a chance to recover. You probably are still retaining water.
I stopped weighing myself because I was so discouraged by my weight gain during pregnancy. I gained at least 40lbs, most likely 50lbs. I didn't get on a scale until 6 weeks pp because I didn't need the stress of those numbers. At 7 weeks pp I have about 20lbs left to lose. Up to this point I haven't done much of any dieting or major exercising (besides going for a walk most days). I'm now focusing on eating better and getting back into shape. I BF as well.

I think this every day....except i say 5 months pregnant:) I lost 40 lbs in 2 weeks. I gained 70 altogether, lucky me. and i'm a shorty 5'3" and i need to get back to my pre pregnancy weight of 135, so i got 35 more lbs to loose. I too noticed my wieght staying the same at a certain point. so i joined the gym, got a trainer for a month, and working out 5 times a week. they weight me every week and i was sooo ticked when i actually gained a pound last week. then she started talking to me about food. she said 80% of weight loss is what you eat, i was so overwhelmed by everything. I have never had to worry about what i eat in my life and now i am looking at calories with what i eat. always worked out for pleasure, now i have a goal. i see all the skinny people at the gym which use to be me and i get so irritated when i look in the mirror and still see and big belly. when i work out i just imagine what my body will look like one day again and after i get it all off I don't think i want another kid for awhile cause i have not liked my body since 15 weeks pregnant and i still don't like it and probably wont for another 7 months (you know how they say it can take 9 more months) . sure wasn't hard to put it on. I got some spanx last week cause DH and I were going to a concert and i wanted to wear a cotton dress and those things are a godsend:) I basically buy cotton dresses, baggy shirts, and baby doll t's right now cause i don't want my blubbery belly showing.

With DS1 I gained 47 lbs and never lost the last 12--- ever:(
With DS2 I only gained 35 and I only have 5 left now without having done anything besides BF. However, since I have a 2.5 year-old, I am on the go constantly. I am actually hoping to be able to lose that additional 8 that will get me to my pre DS1 weight by the end of the summer.
I gained about 30, lost 11 the first week, 18 by the second, 20 by a month, 26 by 3 months, and now have lost all but a pound or so. I'm definitely still soft, though. I did work out and sort of watch what I ate, but it did come off pretty naturally for the first month or so, and then slowed and occasionally stopped.
It will keep coming off but most likely at some point you will have to work on diet and exercise if you want to get back where you started.
I gained 41 pounds. I lost like 17 by the time I came home from the hospital and continued to lose over the first couple weeks. Then I plateaued... But it did start dropping again without me doing anything different.
To be honest, the only real exercise I've done is walking ~2 miles with LO and our dog a couple times a week, and then just toning here and there (crunches, pushups, arm weights - like 10 min a day most days). I haven't been dieting. 5 months pp, I have only 2 pounds left to lose!
Point is, you'll probably hit a few plateaus, but don't lose hope. It's only been 2 weeks - nothing is back to normal at this point, lol. And worst case, yeah, you might have to fit a little exercise into your daily routine or cut out some calories. You'll get there. It took 9 months to put the weight on...
I am 6 weeks PP and so far lost 30 lbs. I gained 60 during pregnancy and lost about 15 during the first few weeks. I know how you feel, so don't get so hard on yourself.
As for my routine, I worked out vigorously during my pregnancy until month 9. So 2 weeks PP, I was already weight lifting and walking about 3 miles a day. By week 4, I was running again. The pounds are coming off, but very slowly, even with a strict diet.
I was hoping that the weight would melt off like they do for The Biggest Loser folks, but oh well.
ah you make me feel better about gaining a ton, but i did not workout cause i was sick the whole time and i gained a lot....what is your diet like. I'm very consious now about what i eat and i'm in the gym 5 days a week. been doing this for 2 weeks now. i wish it would melt off but it's not.
