I know they're made specifically for newborns with their umbilical stumps, but are these a must have? I don't want to spend extra money on prowrap covers if it's not necessary...
I used the bummis or just folded the top down on my other diapers. My MW suggested that we place a breast pad over the stump if the diapers were rubbing it and this would protect it.
Bummis Super Brites users- Did y'all get the 4-9lbs size? How long did they fit? Since Proraps are cheaper, I didn't know if there was an advantage to the Bummis?

I had both the Bummis Super Brite and Proraps and preferred the Bummis. I didn't like the velcro on the Prorap or the feel of the outside. I got a much better fit with the Bummis. And yes, the newborn size which is 4-9 lbs.
