I started solids the other week but just got the peanut butter poop today. I had read that you could just dunk and swoop with solids and I tried that and nothing came off. And I'm not going to lie, it was pretty much the grossest thing I've ever done in my life! He hadn't pooped in 2 days so it was like all over the diaper so my hand had to go in the toilet too. It just made me feel like ![]()
I've also read about just scraping it off with a plastic knife or something. Or a diaper sprayer. So what do you use? Especially for the peanut butter poop stage?
Re: What method do you use: re solids
I keep that peri-care squirt bottle that the hospital gave me after DD was born on the back of the toilet. It works very well.
we scrape. i use an old clam knife as my scraper lol. but a plastic knife or any old kitchen knife should work.
for super mushy poops, it helps to leave them laying somewhere (we lay ours next to the toilet, or the bathtub) for a few hours to harden up some and it's easier to scrape the poop off then vs when it's super fresh lol.
we also use fleece liners which helps the poop not stick to the diaper (we use prefolds) as much.
My favorite cloth diaper shop!
