I know, this question gets asked a TON so sorry in advance! I scrolled through the last year's worth of posts and found a few recs, but WTF - some won't meet with you beforehand? I have a list of the following, but if anyone has another rec I'd appreciate it!

pepek - I've heard her wait times are awful

angelovich - won't meet beforehand

brouwer - won't meet beforehand

lindakay rees - office closed for lunch, need to call back

Hey you! Sorry, I don't have a pedi recs. If you ever move to south county, let me know. I looooooove our pediatrician.

How did you like Dr Lai? I mentioned you at my last dr appointment, and had to answer the lovely question of "how do you know each other." buahaha Luckily, she didn't look at me like I was too crazy when I said we met on an online dating site. Wink

I actually haven't met Dr. L yet! My appt is later this week...nothing like meeting your doc for the first time at 37 weeks. Tongue Tied

I met with the NP last week, she was aiight. Kind of irritating that I had to answer when my LMP was...esp since it was in my medical records. Whatevs. Thx again for your help!

Hey ssinca... you are back!?!?! I didnt know you were coming back!

Dr. Lai is awesome... She delivered my daughter. That was until she dropped all the HMO patients, but I still really like her. Just a cool lady for sure. As far as pedis... do they have to be in Huntington or are you willing to come to Newport? Let me know!

Both my DDs see Dr. Rees. I adore her. She is the perfect balance of conservative that grounded my crazed new mom frenzy when DD1 had pneumonia from 6mo-9mo. We were in there multiple times a week for awhile. Anne her lead nurse is a godsend and knows my voice when I call. DD1 is now 3 and DD2 is 10mo.

I can't say enough good things about her and the staff. You can PM me if you want any specific info.

I have heard good things about Dr. Rees too! I go to Coastal Kids in Newport Beach. I see Dr. Pelinka and she is great and really sweet. She has 2 kids that are under 3 years of age, so she really understands the "mom frenzy" as aug06 put it. Coastal Kids will see you beforehand. Thats really weird that alot of them are saying no to meeting you before. I had no problem meeting a few pedis (but they were either Irvine, Newport or South County). GL!

I first did a phone interview with her first and didn't feel like I needed to meet with her after talking with her. We just clicked. She is so warm and the sweetest. I'm fairly certain I could have met her after if I wanted, although it was over 3yrs ago and my brain has since turned to mush to really remember.

I have never had an issue with same day appointments and the longest wait ever has been maaaaybe 20mins. I can't rave enough about her and her staff. The other thing I really love is that the office opens at 7AM. It worked out well when I was working in an office still. I could schedule all her appts before work.

The office was much larger - 4 docs in the practice until a month or so ago. Two have left and joined Dr. Pepek's office (my sis kids' doc included) - wait times and nurse attention are things I have heard are lacking.

this sounds perfect, thank you so much! my friend sees dr. P and she said she was at the office 3 hours once - good lord, I would die. that's cool if dr. R does phone interviews, I just feel weird not having met or talked to the doc before he/she comes to the hospital, KWIM?

My daughter sees Dr. Angelovic. I never have a problem getting a last-minute appointment, have never waited more than 5 minutes or so to see the Dr., and the office staff is great. Dr. Angelovic is great with my daughter and answers my questions thoroughly. We really like the office.

We go to Dr. Angelovic and he is great. The office staff is wonderful and we never have to wait. He is really thorough and addresses all of our questions and concerns. Not sure where you are delivering but we were at Hoag so he came and saw Ava every morning we were there.
