Mom groups near Monroeville or Pittsburgh?!?!

Hey everyone!

I am expecting my first baby in September 2011! After getting married, I moved into the Monroeville area, where I do not have many friends. Networking and meeting other women my age and with the same interests has been very hard.

My sister-in-law (who lives in D.C.) told me about the Mommies Connection she had joined while prego. They hosted events she could attend while pregnant to meet new moms in her area, planned outings and play dates, etc. I have just started researching groups in the Monroeville area.... I can't find one!

Any moms out there have any suggestions or ideas?

Check meetup.com. There are a few local moms groups on there.

meetup.com is a great place to find a group. I'm in the Washington Mom's group but I know they have a couple in the pittsburgh area.

Hello,

I am expecting my first baby in December 2011. My husband and I moved near Monroeville in October 2010. I am not from Pittsburgh, but I did live in the city for 3 years when I was in law school. We have no family here and few friends. I have been looking for a similar group near Monroeville and cannot find one. It is disappointing!
