Feedings have gotten crazy around here. I use the Playtex drop-ins and the slow flow seems super slow to me, especially compared to the similac slow flow we were using before. He sucks so hard on the nipples (I don't know if the loud squeaking/sucking sound is normal for all babies) and almost always falls asleep eating. He acts like he is continuously hungry though as soon as he's done. He will take 4 oz and then want another 2 oz + afterward. The whole thing is taking over an hour though! I just wonder if he's not getting/feeling really full because it's taking so long for him to finish. The falling asleep is bothering me because unless I catch it right away he starts coughing and choking.
Re: Do you think my (bottle) nipples are too slow?
I agree that they are slow, but it doesn't take Nora an hour. Maybe because she's a few weeks older than Linus, and we only started using them a week or 2 ago..
I actually really like the Gerber First Essentials 5 oz bottles. I think these nipples are slow flow, but they aren't too slow.

We have already moved Nolan up to the level 2 Dr. Brown's nipples because of the same things you were describing. He is doing sooooo MUCH better & feedings are so much faster.
If baby tolerates it I would go for it!
