Anyone have a go go babyz travelmate?

The thing you can hook your toddler carseat onto and push through the airport? Did you like it? The reviews on Amazon are hit or miss. Pros and cons? Thanks!

    I am getting one soon. We fly all the time and between carry-ons and car seat and stroller it just makes sense to make the car seat into a stroller for the airport. I met a guy at LAX who LOVED theirs and said it is such a blessing to have

    Yes, love it. We've had it for about two years and it has gone on a few trips with us, plus trips around NYC when I needed to take a cab somewhere.

    I can't think of any cons, but I can see how it would be pointless if you're driving to the airport then checking the seat at the counter. For us, we use it to take public transportation to the airport and then have used it all the way through gate-checking the car seat.

    Yes. We travel quite a bit and it's great!! No complaints.

    Thanks ladies. I read it could be a pain with security. Do you just unhook the strap and send it through separately from the carseat in the xray machine? And on the plane, do u gate check it and bring the carseat on board, or just load it into the carry on bin? I am clueless haha.

    We have never had to unstrap ours.  Also- we just gate checked it; we don't bring our carseats on the plane. So it's used and treated more as a stroller in the airport.

    I haven't had any problems with security. I gate check it all together in a big car seat bag. We don't fly onboard with the car seat, DD just won't have it. .

    We have it and I have really liked using it while travelling alone with DD.  We did have trouble going through security once, and we almost missed our flight as a result.  We purchased the cover and I had put it on the seat before going to the airport b/c it's a bit of a pain and I didn't want to do it while also trying to watch DD.  Of course they made me take the cover and the wheels off the carseat going through security that time, so I did in fact have to put it all back together while keeping track of DD.  Not fun.  It's only happened once, though, and overall it's still better than the alternatives.
