Toddlers: 24 Months+

New to this board and a ?

Hey ladies! So DS will be 3 in July. He didn't get his first tooth until he was 1 and they all came in pretty quickly. Problem is that they are REALLY crooked! Like the teeth next to his top top front teeth are behind the top front ones and his canines are pushed forward. Anyone else's toddler have this issue? We can't afford to see a dentist at the moment otherwise I would have taken him in.

Thanks all! I will be sticking around this board for a while too, if that's ok!

  • If you are really concerned around here some pediatric dentists have the first visit free.  My dentists exam and full cleaning is less $100.  I know a lot will do payment plans.

I would think there isn't much they can do right now, but you need to make sure you brush and floss really good to make sure he doesn't get any cavities with them being so close.  He might have an issue with room when the baby teeth come out.  I needed to get one pulled as the adult tooth came in as a child.

  • I am going to guess that he has some crowding going on.  My DS is opposite and hardly any of his teeth touch.  I had crowding as a child.  They may not do anything for baby teeth but many times they will take out the farthest molars to help spread it out.  I don't have my 12yr molars.  I don't know about ins but maybe you canget something from the state? Or maybe your pedi will have some insight or can do research on your behalf.
