She won't stop rolling!

DD is driving me nuts with her constant rolling. She learned how to roll back to tummy about a month ago, thought it was the coolest thing ever and rolled every time we put her down. It lost its excitement after about a week and she didn't roll again for 2-3 weeks. This past week she has rediscovered the joys of rolling with an even greated passion tha befre. She rolls *everywhere* - the couch, the changing table, her crib, her bouncer, IN MY ARMS. Now I can't take my hands off of her unless she's on the floor. Showering is getting to be pretty difficult now. I used to leave her in her crib with the mobile on, but now she rolls over and gets pissed off that she's on her belly. I'm hoping this phase passes just as quickly as i did last time!

  • I'm so jealous - LO still isn't rolling!!

  • My solution to this is to put her down in front of a mirror, and to make sure she's on an interesting surface.  My mom made her a blanket that has little nubs, 3-d flowers, holes, and different yarn textures she can play with, and we also have a mat that has crinkly leaves, a mirror, fuzzy leaves etc on it.  So, she rolls, but she doesn't get pissed about it immediately.  But then, she's extremely easygoing.  I call her Honey Badger because she doesn't give a sh*t (she takes what she wants).

  • My little guy is the same way.. I put him down in one spot and come back and he is under the table. He is also putting everything he can find into his mouth. I said its like having a dog.
