Hi all,
I don't normally post here, but thought I'd cover all my bases.
I just moved back to the Seattle area after spending 10 years in California. My 9yo DSS is spending his first summer with us, and while my DH is a SAHH right now, I'd like to have some fun summer activities lined up for DSS with other kids.
I've scoped out the YMCA ... just wondering if anyone had any other great resources for summer classes/camps/activities. Thanks!
Re: Summer activities for school-aged kids?
The magazine Seattle's Child has a summer camp edition. You can find a copy (they are free) at the library.
I also highly recommend SkyHawks sports camps.
Here is a really good website that I found (may have been posted here actually)..

Also- we became members of the Woodland Park Zoo and the Aquarium for summer activities
The zoo is a good one, it's the same price for kids whether it's a one day ticket or a yearly pass. For adults it's paid for in a coupla visits. They have a neat dinosaur exhibit right now too
There are sooo many parks here you would never run out of things to do by going to parks alone!
