So appropriate right now...chicken pox in my school

So, one of my students has the chicken pox and I am NOT immune.  So, I have to be out of work for 2 weeks and get this crazy immunoglobulin shot tomorrow to try to give me temporary immunity or lessen the case if I get them.  B/c incubation is 10-14 days I can't be around any of my students.

I guess I will take the 2 weeks off, but it doesn't sound pretty if I end up with them.  Apparently the cases of pregnant women getting them often results in severe pneumonia and could cause issues for baby IF I have them when I deliver.

Let's hope I don't get them!

    Oh wow!  Hope you don't get them.  Fingers crossed for you.  That sounds like a bigger deal than I ever realized it was.
