Moving During Remy's Birthday. Sigh.

So we are far enough away from family where we are (4 hours+) but we at least have a small group of friends that would come over for Remy's Birthday Party. I never planned on having anything big, especially since we're so far away from everyone.

Well we just got DH's orders to go to El Paso (Fort Bliss). Our moving date is September 26th - October 5th. Remy's Birthday is September 30th. I am kind of sad, but at least my husband will be here so Jamy & I can do something for Remy. I don't really want to go to El Paso (we know NO ONE there). I am hoping when Re-enlistment time comes around, he can get Fort Lewis. I miss home.

    Im sorry! Sometimes the Army sucks. Maybe you can do an early birthday party for him before you leave? We are doing a late party for Hunter when we go home on leave so that both of our families can celebrate with us and hopefully DH will be home before his birthday so he can celebrate with us on the actual day.

    The Army does suck sometimes for sure. We will probably do a "moving/going away/early b-day" thing, but I am still kind of sad. I had wanted to make him a cake and everything.

    ETA: I'm sorry about Remy's bday :[ but I'm really glad Jamy will be there for his 1st birthday... it's a big day!

    I know! If I go to Lewis I will be able to gtg with some Bumpies!!! And yea, I am happy that my husband will be home for his birthday. He will have been there for his BIRTH day and 1st Birthday.

    So sorry you have to move on Remy's birthday. I definitely think you should have his party with friends there early. I hope you find some nice people to be friends with in El Paso. I can't imagine moving so often, we have lived here for 7 years and I have like 2 friends. I'm not good at getting out and meeting people. I'm glad Jamy will be home for his birthday. Will he be deployed again?
