I've been thinking about this too. Although my DD won't be here until August I wanted to get SO something. I was gonna get him a "Daddy" shirt -- I saw a simple baseball tee with blue sleeves, which body, and blue lettering across the chest. Sporty and simple.
I won't be having my baby until a couple months after Father's Day, but I planned to get him a Father's Day/Bday/You don't have to go to my baby shower gift all in one.
I'm going to buy a day of golf for him and his buddies and get them some cigars (it feels so 1950's), but I know he will really really enjoy it!

What a great idea -- golf and cigars. My SO doesn't like golf but the cigar is great. I might hafta borrow this idea too
I already talked to my husband about it actually....he said he would like a scrapbook type of thing with at least 18 pages in it, and every year he wants handprints so we can look back and see the progression. I thought it was a cute idea -- I can already see our 18 yr old daughter rolling her eyes at this "tradition"
I did whisky and a cigar for Easter so He is probably getting a Cow Parade cow...yeah we collect them together lol If I can't order the one he's been eyeing I'll probably get him a record

Oh...my...goodness!!! This is the most precious idea ever! I love it and I'll probably be borrowing this from you two. Applause to your DH...he's a softie at heart! Thanks for the fabulous idea...

Originally I was going to get his the ridiculously expensive (at least IMHO) "Dad Approved" diaper bag he picked out.
But for Mother's Day (which, this is out first, so I was not really expecting an official Mother's Day yet) he got me a very sweet card and pampering stuff (smell-good stuff and a mani/pedi certificate). In other words, stuff for ME, not really baby-related stuff. So I am thinking I need to get him something for HIM and not the diaper bag.

Although, the picture idea from MrsVictoriaB seems like a cute idea. And, we have so many empty picture frames that I might just snag this idea as well. I don't want to spend a lot since he'll basically be paying for his own gift, lol.

This is baby Number 2 for us and I havent really come up with a brilliant father's day gift yet.
I'm debating doing something wall artish where I will paint and stamp both kid's handprints onto a mats along with mine and his and have a sort of family art work. Last year I got DH a photo travel mug with various pictures of DS and him on it. I also did the "DAD" photo shoot and printed him out a copy of that.
I might go for another travel mug too just so he has an updated one with both boys on it. I typed Father's Day 2010 on the bottom of the first one. So I'd probly put the same title with 2011. I dont plan on making travel mugs become a yearly thing. Sure DH is a big coffee drinker and he only really has 2 mugs right now but I dont want to start a collection!
Im thinking getting both of our families together.. his parents, my dad, my dh and go out for a nice brunch somewhere.
My Dh is a big coffee person one present im getting him is a coffee cup from hallmark it's star wars theme and has darth vader on it says i am your father.( i know silly but he saw it and wants it)
Not sure what else i want to get or do for him. But i def will be giving him a night/morning off that day
I'm going to buy a baseball and case and take it to the hospital and ask for a foot print on it and write the name and stats of our LO. (Due a few days before Father's Day)
I got DH an Eagles (football) tee and an Eagles romper for LO to wear this football season. I didn't spend a whole lot and DH will definitely wear the shirt so it's not money wasted in my opinion. My EDD is the day before father's day so I'm not sure if she'll be here yet but I still wanted to get DH something small.

Also, maybe a date night paid for by moi. Simple.
Would love to see everyone else's ideas!

I am not really sure.

I have no clue either.

I bought my DH a pass for a local rock-climbing gym. He will LOVE that.
I'm also planning on getting him a Wii game, a carving board, and some framed pics of the kids/fam for his desk at work.

Very similar to a pp, I have this ball and will give it to DH for father's day.
