I have been thinking about registering at Target instead of Babiesrus for my baby's registry. It seems like Target pretty much has most of the items that I wanted for my baby and the prices are cheapers for most items at Target. There are a lot more Targets near us than babiesrus, so it is very convienient. I don't know if targets gives any discounts towards items remaining on registry similarly to Babiesrus. I think babiesrus gives 10% discount on items that people don't purchase for you.
Is there any other drawbacks to doing with Target? TIA

I did both, and only have had 2 people (my mom and SIL) shop off of my BRU registry so far...after 2 showers.
Just last week I went through my BRU registry and removed a bunch of stuff and added it to my Target registry because we got a LOT of non-registry items from Target at our last shower. I'm thinking that people went to Target to try to buy something off our registry, but when they got there it was so picked over that they just bought something else rather than going to BRU.
I haven't had issues with returning anything to Target without a receipt. I just make sure that I add it to my registry and mark it "fulfilled" before I try to return it. Hasn't been an issue so far.

I used Target for our wedding and had a pretty awful experience with them. First, the stores in our area rarely have working registry machines. It's truly frustrating. The customer service employees tend to have a lot of attitude, though in all fairness, that's not uncommon in Dallas.
My biggest gripe with them was their return policy. You can do a return - ONE - without a receipt for store credit. However, it has to be for an item under $15. You're limited to one per year per person. Past that, you'd better have a receipt or it had better show up both on your registry and bought from your registry. Which is really fun when their registry machines don't work.
I've also noticed that they have a lot more online than they have in the store, so be careful when you register if you want to give people things to get in the store. I'm still debating registering there as, unfortunately, that's where much of my family prefers to shop. I just really don't want to have to deal with them with returns again as they were such a PITA last time.
