update! internet cheapie has faint line, digital says "not pregnant"

i'm so frustrated and could really use some advice. i didn't temp this month, so i'm not exactly sure when i ovulated but based on my cm, i'd say it was between april 29-may 1. i had a teeny pink streak yesterday when i wiped (maybe implantation spotting?) that i've only had when i was pregnant in janruary. i took an internet cheapie this morning and saw the faintest line and then decided to take a clear blue easy digital and it said "not pregnant." sorry to post here when i'm not sure if i'm pregnant yet, but i could really use some thoughts and advice.

*update: i just tested with a frer and got a very faint but definite second pink line. i'm starting to believe i might be pregnant again. so excited!

ICs, on average, are supposed to measure HCG at 25 and digitals are supposed to be at 50.

That being said, I know a lot of people that have seen what they feel is a faint line on an cheapie but it is not really a positive at all. I would go buy a FRER and either test again in the morning or wait until Sunday morning to test again.

Oh and I will attach my BFP from Sunday...the top has ICs it looks like a faint BFP but FRER and digital were positive. I just took another IC today to experiment and it still is not very dark but I know my levels have got to be over 500 right now (had betas on Monday and Wed and this morning but today's is not back yet). ICs and $store tests are REALLY CRAPPY!

I agree with retesting with a FRER and a digi in the morning. It took me an extra day or so for the digital to register pregnant as it needs a higher level of HCG.

Thank you all for your responses! BrittanyV: my internet test looks very much like your result, that you can barely see a result but you know that something is there! I've heard that digitals can be less sensitive so I think I'll get the FRER and see if I can hold out a few days.... Fingers crossed indeed!

Digitals are not as sensitive. Tomorrow morning you should be able to confirm on a digital. Congratulations!!

I had the same thing happen - I tested Mothers day morning w/ my last IC, thought I saw a smudge of a line, whipped out the CBE Digi... not pregnant. 3 days later when af hadn't showed I tested w/ my 2nd digi just to let myself down easy that af was coming and it said Pregnant. I'd give it 2 days and try again w/ a digital. I agree though, the ICs suck unless you're uber confident in the crazy faint lines... which after everything I'm not confident about much! FX that you get your bfp!

The same thing happened with me. I then waited and took the digital again the next morning with FMU and it was positive. I would just wait until tomorrow morning and test again with FMU. Sounds like you are pregnant, though!

Thanks for posting these! My ICs were really light too so I was confused when the digital came up pregnant right away...I've never had a BFP with ICs before, so maybe they're just typically lighter?

From what I can tell from personal experience and from hearing other's stories the ICs are very light until you are way past due for AF, like 20-25 DPO. They are great when you feel the need to pee on something and dont' want to waste money (for those POASholics) but otherwise, I only trust a FRER and/or a digital to confirm a positive on an IC.

From what I understand digitals aren't as sensitive. Maybe try with the digital tomorrow AM and see what it says. Best of luck!!
