Anyone have a wagon to pull kids?

I'm about to pull two toddlers up and down hills all the way to the park. (One mile away) I think I may be crazy, but the kids LOVE riding in the wagon. Anyone else do longer walking trips in their wagon?

  • lol- you should make a deal with them that if you pull them there- they should have to pull you home! :)

We have a wagon- but I don't use it too much yet.

  • I only have one child- but my DS loves the wagon- I think my grocery shopping would be easier if I took him in that...

  • We have a radio flyer wagon with the fabric canopy and seat belts, etc.  The kids love it.  We took the little guy out in it yesterday for the first time and they both had a blast.

I think the walk will be harder on you than them.  I find that after awhile I get sort of stiff from pulling the handle at the odd angle behind you.  If they have snacks, water and sunscreen, etc they should be fine!

  • I will walk them around the neighborhood in it, but we bring it to the zoo. Our local zoo is VERY hilly - lots of ups and downs........I get a real workout using it.

  • I used it a lot when we first got it last year, but haven't put the baby in it yet.  We'll probably start using it with both kids in another month or so.  It can be a great workout!

  • I wish we had one here; we live in a 3rd floor condo, so there is no way we are carrying that thing up and down the stairs. My IL's got DD a wagon for Christmas, but we just leave it at their house. DD loves going for rides in it.
  • I think you are crazy ;-)

We have a wagon.  It used to get a lot of use, but not recently.  When I just had DS#1, he rode in it all the time instead of a stroller.  I know lots of people put 2 and 3 year olds in strollers, but he was pretty much done with them by 18 months.  The wagon was much more fun and *cool* I guess.  Last summer is when I had DS#2 and I couldn't haul both of them in it yet.  This summer MAYBE I will use it.  We'll see.  DS#2 is still pretty *little* as far as physical ability is concerned.  I'm not sure I quite trust him to sit and hold himself up in a moving wagon really well.  Maybe towards the end of Summer.

DD loves our wagon, but we use the jogging stroller for longer walks.  It's a dream to push!

  • We have a wagon and the kids love it.  But I would never take it on a long walk to the park, because it is annoying to pull after a while (especially with two)

I'll take it around the block or somewhere short, but I would rather take our double stroller on a long walk, it is SO much easier
