hypoallergenic, natural sunblock

recs?

We borrowed a friends aveeno yesterday and DS is COVERED in a rash and feeling ill :(  Last year we found one, but between the fact that it was applied with a disposable cloth and that the shop in town no longer carries it, we need to find another... we tried CA baby, weleda, soleo and badger with no luck.

Re: hypoallergenic, natural sunblock

  • Have you looked into what it is he's allergic to? I'd start reading ingredients. It may be that he's simply allergic or sensitive to titanium dioxide or zinc oxide.

I have read ingredients but couldn't narrow it down last year we figured that he was able to use the Baby Silk brand and that was the only sunblock that was both effective and didn't leave him with a rash...

  • Which aveeno did you try?  There are two, their regular baby one and their all natural mineralblock.

I'm guessing it was the regular baby one. I'll have to ask. I feel like an idiot. All I was thinking was, 'boy is it ever hot- my kids are going to fry'- the hot weather kind of snuck up on us.
