I did that a couple of times last summer and we are doing it again in 2 weeks. I did take a friend and her child. This next time, I am taking 2 friends and their kids. I can't wait. They loved it. Have a great time! I am kind of proud that I learned to build a fire all by myself :-)
Nah- not far. About an hour and half- we go camping all the time- so it's really no biggie for me. Chase hasn't gone yet- but he is really easy going. Gisele loves it and I love being away from all of the 'distractions' of normal life. So right now- it is definitely a well needed 'break' for me/us.
Tomorrow morning I'm running my first official (timed) 5k with a good friend of mine. Then we're going out to brunch or lunch afterward, depending on what time we finish up with things.
Otherwise the weekend is wide open...just the way I like it!

We have a busy Saturday and a more leisurely Sunday. On Saturday we're doing brunch at a friend's restaurant, then stopping by a friend's playdate at the park for his son's 1st birthday. After that we're dropping the kids off at their grandparents' so DH and I can attend a co-ed baby shower. On Sunday we're going to be hanging out at home and turning on our backyard grill for the first time this season, and a friend of DH's is coming. We'll probably watch some Star Trek, because it's what we do. LOL!
Tonight we are just having family relax time probably watching a movie and eating dinner in front of the tv.
Saturday we are headed over to the new house to strip wall paper and paint two rooms
Sunday we might be back at the house if we don't get to painting on saturday otherwise sunday will be our kick back day with DH since he won't be working. I wanted to BBQ so if it is nice, then thats what we shall do
Farmers Market early tomorrow morning.
Library
Going to visit MIL, I actually like MIL so this will be fun
Maybe a picnic in the water gardens
Maybe a date night
DH is on-call all weekend, so I will be flying solo
Fri - nothing, not even cooking, going to do take-out
Sat - Greek Festival w/ friends
Sun - church and then maybe a little shopping
Hopefully not too much. We're hoping to get some small projects and organization done around the house. DS1 has soccer practice on Sat afternoon (only 30 min) and that is our only scheduled activity. It's supposed to rain on Sunday
so we will see...
May/June/July are pretty busy for us so it's a welcome slow weekend before the craziness resumes.
We have E's birthday party tomorrow (today is her birthday).........
Sunday is the last day of Sunday School for my girls, so we're in Church in the morning. Probably taking it easy in the afternoon.
I want to use these free fandango movie passes that are expiring soon, but so far we don't have a babysitter. I might ask a gf to go and leave DD with DH though.
Tomorrow morning our community has organized a huge garage sale even with over 100 houses participating. My mom, sister, DD and I are going early!
We don't have much planned the rest of the weekend. DH works 8-4 Sat and Sun so I might just get some errands done for DD's birthday party next weekend!

DH is OOT until Sunday evening but...
Tomorrow we are going to my Mom's for lunch; my best friend just flew in from Texas with her husband and their new baby, so we will have a nice visit. Then, DS2 & SD have a haircut appointment (it's DS' first haircut).
Sunday I will just clean house and do laundry. In the afternoon SD's boyfriend is coming over to help my SS move all the tree logs from the 27 trees we cut down last week. Then, SD's boyfriend is going to cook dinner for all of us!

Tonight I'm going to try to get my hair cut. I have some hair color at home, so hopefully doing that as well. We'll see if I actually do it!! Then I have to hem DS#1's pants....
Tomorrow is our dance recital :-) DH is working all weekend. BIL is coming over in the morning to help. We have dress rehearsal at 9am, then break (when the boys will nap) and then show time is 4:30pm. I think BIL will take the boys home at intermission and I'll stay for the rest of the time. Then I am making a cheese cake to celebrate, lol.

Today-Hit some garage sales and getting nails done.
Saturday- Going clothes shopping for the family at Tanger Outlet Mall, then to Menards for planting stuff.
Sunday- DH getting his pedicure, I go pick up boys' new sandbox/sand, then we go to tour the Birth Center at the hospital.
