Snack suggestions for toddler

Hi there - Looking for healthy suggestions for snacks for a toddler.

My one year old hates Cheerios but loves Earth's Best crackers, although I don't want to give her too many of those since there's no real nutritional value. I'd love alternatives!! thanks!

  • My son loves to dip veggies in salsa, cheese, berries w/ yogurt and puffed wheat cereal.

  • DS loves all-natural fruit leather, cut in small pieces.  He also eats fruits (berries, apples, bananas & oranges), bite-size pieces of whole wheat bagel w/cream cheese, shredded cheese, & Annie's organic bunny crackers.

  • I make big batches of carrot/zucchini muffins and pumpkin pancakes and freeze them.  They make great snacks or can step in as a meal when DS is being a picky eater - goes well with cottage cheese or fruit or string cheese.

We've been big on smoothies lately for an afternoon snack.  He'll always eat fruit - watermelon, grapes, berries, raisins.  And he'll always eat crackers and cheerios.

  • DD loves frozen peas.  And I do the smoothies as well, but usually for lunch.

  • Rice cakes are a hit with him. I have a yummy sweet potato muffin recipe as well as crackers and cinnamon rolls that are allergen free for him!

Veggie chips I found he can have but those don't have any nutrition.

I did find a cheese it and yummy granola bar recipe but I am into the making my own food since I know what's in it..

  • Avocados w/ or w/o cheese, cherry tomatoes, raisins, fruit, yogurt, cheese, black beans, whole wheat toast, peas, etc.  I confess, we do a lot of raisins for portable snacks.

  • A piece of whole grain toast or bread with almond butter, peeled apple slices, cheese, seedless grapes cut in half or quarters, bananas, steamed green beans (usually leftovers that have been in the fridge... yeah... he eats them cold), Annie's cheddar bunnies, Plum Organic pouches (great, healthy snack on the go for us).
