I don't know whats going on but the past few nights, LO wakes up for the evening feeding, around 8, and stays awake for several hours! Sometime fussing/acting uncomfortable, others just very "awake". I've tried everything I can think of. Keeping this light and noisy during the day, talking to her, making eye contact, etc. Keep things quiet/dim at night. I have swaddled, rocked, fed, used gas drops, used Colic Calm, used gripe water. I have tried putting her down in her bed. Nothing is working. I have 2 other small children so I don't get to rest during the day and I am just plain exhausted. She went off breastmilk and onto Alimentum a couple days ago, and started zantac today. I'm hoping those things will help. Any advice/encouragement in the meantime??? As I'm typing this she was laying quietly in her bed, I thought she might be asleep, then she started fussing...its 11:30pm. ![]()
Thanks!

Re: Days & Nights mixed up? Colic?
Just to hang in there and it won't last forever. I read somewhere that it takes about 3-6 weeks for their bodies to start producing melotonin (sp?) which regulates you feeling sleepy at night and awake during the day. It was probably about 5-6 weeks before Luke consistantly seemed to be more sleepy at nighttime but he was also 3.5 weeks early which might make a difference. Is there anyone who can come over and watch the kids for a little while even during the day to help you get a nap?
