What does EFF think about "Method" products?

I haven't done enough research to have an opinion of my own and thought I'd turn to the experts. I know vinegar is probably the best eff-friendly cleaner. As far as store-bought cleaners go, is Method better than the rest or is it all a gimmick?

  • I think some of their things are better than others, but I honestly haven't done too much research either.  I'm pretty sure they use SLS among other things.  I've gone with other products (with the exception of their stainless steel cleaner, which I didn't love.)

(However, I will say that I buy their toilet bowl cleaner b/c none of my EF products really do what I need them to in the ol' commode.)

I prefer making my own cleanser w/Borax, castile, and vinegar.

If you'd rather buy prepared cleansers, I really like the Better Life line of products. Most of them can be found on Amazon.

  • I PPH their granite cleaner, but I think most of it is green washing.
  • Ditto the others.
