Guestimates on when LO will come

So a alot of people seem to like to tell me when they "think" I will have this baby. I have my own feeling but I know it is just that. A feeling. I kind of want to start a pool and see who wins, except that I would get 1/2 the winnings. LOL.

What have been people telling you?

People keep telling me that I'm going to go a week or two weeks overdue.

Little do they know, my Dr won't let me go past my due date because of size/hip issues! Wink

I'd ALMOST feel bad taking people's money, and not telling them this, but it's getting SO annoying to hear over and over and over again that I'm going to go late, and be huge and uncomfortable.

I seem to think that I'll go over by about a week b/c that's what most FTMs do. Plus, my lack of major discomfort/ pain just makes me feel like she's gonna stay in there a bit longer since it's such a hospitable environment- lol!

Have a RC/S booked for 38wks 4 days. But my guess is 38 weeks exactly.

I'm due June 27th. But i have the numbers 13 and 14 stuck in my mind. So i'm thinking June 13th or 14th. I've told my SiL this and she agrees. She even goes so far to think i might go in on the evening of the 13th pissed off about BH to find out they're the real thing and that i'm good to go to deliver naturally. Not so sure about that much. But i know i will likely have my 38 week appointment the morning of the 13th and maybe whatever the Dr. does gets labour started then.

Our MW is convinced I am going late because it is a first time baby but everyone else thinks I will be early. I think I'll be early too but ideally I hope not earlier than when my MIL arrives on June 4th and not so late that they have to induce anything.

My husband has had the date May 28th fully stuck in his brain since the beginning of the pregnancy. I kept thinking May 17th however now that she's possibly small I think I'll go all the way up to induction at 41 weeks which would be June 8th (my health care HMO won't let you go past that).

I've been telling myself I'll go a week late but I'm starting to wonder if I'll go early as this baby is getting big! But that could just be wishful thinking on my part.

Nobody else has really been guessing, although some people have suggested I start a pool just for fun. There is a cool one at bebepool.com that lets you customize (people can guess gender, due date, hair color, all sorts of things).

I am doing a baby pool for $$$ - Im using expectnet.com... Its a 50/50 pool, and half of the money goes to the winner, the other half of the money is going to a local charity that I raise money for each year (AIDS Community Resources) ....

Everyone thinks I'm going to go right on schedule on or right around my due date. The logic is that this is my first, and I've had an uncomplicated pregnancy so far. I tend to agree. As long as nothing happens next weekend when H is out of town, it's all good.

My mom and MIL both think I'll go early because both of them were early with all of their children.. by at least a week. However, I'm trying to convince myself that I'll go late because I don't want to be disappointed if I DON'T go early.

Such a good idea. I could not ask coworkers and friends to go into a pool and then take 1/2 of the winnings..

We might do one at work but we haven't figured out if it will be free to enter (no prize except bragging rights) or if there will be a monetary entrance fee for a prize..

No more than 7.5 weeks left! My doc will let me go to 42 weeks.. so at the most I have 7 1/2 weeks.. due date in 5.5!

This!! Get him out! Stick out tongue When I first got pregnant I said I thought I'd be a week late, but now I'm not so sure. DH swears LO will come a week early and my mom swears he will come a week late. So maybe right on time?

At first I thought I was going to be late, b/c my mom was 2 weeks late with me. But the baby has already dropped, soooo, I don't know anymore! MH thinks I'll be early. My mom still thinks I'll be late. I just want the baby to stay put until at least May 22nd so she won't be a Taurus :-) Both of my parents and my husband are Tauruses...I don't need another stubborn bull in my life!

I've only had one random guy tell me I would never make it to June 1. This was around 6 weeks ago. No one else has said anything. They only ask when I'm due. I do suspect they think I'll never make it though because of the looks on some of their faces

I used to think I'd be about a week late because I haven't really had much discomfort, I was measuring behind a bit and, the whole FTM thing - but most everyone else think's I'll have him early. They don't say how early, just early. However, now that the discomfort is starting to kick in to overdrive I'm starting to second guess the whole "I'll be late" thing. I do still think it'd be cool to go exactly one week late - July 4th! I'd still hang out on the June moms board though if that were the case!

I think I'll go early...I have consistently been measuring 2-3 weeks ahead (by ultrasound and fundal height) and I've been noticing a big increase in BH lately. I know the weight measurements can me off, but his head circumference (which is usually pretty accurate) is in the 90th percentile so I'm really hoping I go early!!

All along, MH and I have thought he'd be a May baby (EDD is June 4th). My OB is on vacation from May 26-June 4th so I keep telling the baby to come by May 25th!!!

we have a list in my pregnancy journal of friends and family predictions... everyone has guessed about a week overdue...

Recently my feeling is early. Our anniversary is on May 18th and I have the 19th in my head for some reason. But after my exam yesterday and hearing my cervix is still pretty sealed shut I'm not so sure lol Of course there is always that chance it can go from nothing to labor in a flash so we'll see...

My husbands birthing is June 14, and mine is the 16th -- so we were desperate to have a June baby, too (helloooo one birthday cake). I think this little guy will want to make me mad and come late May. Or maybe we'll get lucky and he'll be a week days late and show up on 6/15.

I am hoping to go somewhere between 39-40 weeks, but it might be 41 weeks. I really don't want to be late though.

At my shower, they had a calendar and people placed their bets on when LO would be born. The earliest was May 31 (39w3d) and the latest was June 15 (41w4d).

Me and my mom both think he will be born on May 28th, just because my dad and boyfriend are going to a golf tournament that day (it has been planned since last May). I have also been measuring a week ahead so this would fall between what I have been measuring and my EDD. But he is being named after my uncle Jim who always took his time and never in a rush to get anywhere so hopefully he doesn't act like him that way lol.
