For the moms with LO in daycare just a little check in!...
1. What do you like about your daycare? I really like the lead teachers ... there are 2 of them and they clearly love DD. I love that.
2. What issues/problems have you had? We've had a couple issues with other teachers (not the 2 lead ones) not feeding her enough. We want her to eat every 2 hours (it's what she's always done) and that isn't happening when another teacher is in charge of DD.
3. How is LO doing with bottles, naps, etc? She's doing better with bottles. Generally taking 5 bottles with 3.5 oz BM. Napping is a different story, she cat naps at best.
4. How are you doing? I just finished my 2nd week back at work. We've started to get the hang of the morning and evening routine but man I'm wiped out by the end of the day. Overall things are going well though.
1. What do you like about your daycare? They changed DD's diaper when I was picking her up because she pooped before I had all of her stuff ready
2. What issues/problems have you had? None so far. She just started this week, though.
3. How is LO doing with bottles, naps, etc? She does just as well there as she does at home. They were surprised she didn't nap, but she doesn't nap well for us either.
4. How are you doing? I'm okay. My sister was watching her before, which was nice until she decided to stop taking her meds (she's bipolar). At least she realized she couldn't handle it anymore and was honest with us rather than letting it get to the point where she would do something horrible. I think that helped me feel a lot better about using daycare.

1. What do you like about your daycare? Its very secure and have cameras in every room. I have a lot of friends who also take there kids there and reccomend it. They also follow the schedule of the baby and not their on. The teachers asks questions about the best ways to get him to sleep, eat and console him when he is crying. You can call or come by anytime of the day to check on your LO. They even have phones in each room so you can talk to the teacher.
2. What issues/problems have you had? None
3. How is LO doing with bottles, naps, etc? He is doing good. One problem this week was he was fighting his bottle because he was not getting his milk fast enough, so we changed to medium flow nipples and this has helped. He is napping good so far.
4. How are you doing? It was hard the first day, but I am doing okay. I try to keep really busy at work to make the day go by fast, so I can get home to see him.

1. What do you like about your daycare? Mine is an in-home babysitter that also watches my cousin's 2 boys. Lena has her own drawer with all her own blankets/clothes/bibs/toys/etc. She has her own stash of formula, diapers, bottles and I don't have to cart anything back and forth except my daughter. My babysitter meets me at the door, so I can run if I want to, but if I have time, I can also come in and hang out for a cup of coffee. When I pick her up, she's fed/changed and in her carseat so we can head home right away. My babysitter and I text at least once during the day and she sends me picture texts.
2. What issues/problems have you had? Sometimes she forgets to tell me that she needs more diapers/formula/etc until the last minute, but everything else is so great with her, that it's not a big deal.
3. How is LO doing with bottles, naps, etc? Great. I love that my babysitter follows our wishes for naps/routine etc. and takes Lena's lead instead of making her follow a schedule.
4. How are you doing? I went back to work when Lena was 5 weeks. The first 2 days were rough, but it has been okay since then. I'm so grateful that I'm a teacher because I only have 2 weeks left of school and then I'm home with Lena for 3 months!!

1. What do you like about your daycare? it's close to home, private, family-owned & has a good reputation within our community
2. What issues/problems have you had? none to-date
3. How is LO doing with bottles, naps, etc? excellent, like others, we just upped him to the medium flow Dr. Brown. I'm the one who needs to find a groove. I find myself packing bottles in ziplock storage bags each day- extremely wasteful. I do rinse them and reuse, but it still bothers me. There's got to be a better way. Anyone want suggest their method? I thought about a lunch pail.
4. How are you doing? Meh. We're finishing up week two and DS is already sick with a cold. We knew it was going to happen- I guess we were just naive as to how quickly. His sleeping was fabulous last week- this week, I feel like we've regressed back to week ONE. Of course, it's due to him being sick, but it still effects my day-to-day. I feel like the walking dead- prob look like it, too. DH has been wonderful & helpful, he always is, so I can't complain. As for missing DS while I'm at work- all the time. I trust that he's in good hands, though, and just have learned to make the most of our time together in the evenings.
LO is only in daycare about 3 hours a day, but I'll still answer
1. What do you like about your daycare? - Mostly everything. All the girls are nice, they only hire people working towards some kind of education degree. They usually change her diaper 2-3 times in that period and feed her twice. So she is getting a lot of attention. They are super flexible about the hours LO is there. She only needs daycare from about 2PM until 5:30PM Tuesday-Friday.2. What issues/problems have you had? Nothing crazy enough for me to say anything. A couple of times recently she has come home in size 1 diapers when I have already told them to start using the size 2's and to either toss the 1's or give them to a smaller baby who's parents may have forgotten to refill their stash. They'll learn their lesson once she messes herself because the diaper is too small and they have to clean it up (obv. she has extra clothes there). Yesterday I came in and DD was a little close to their AC unit and was kind of cold, but I just mentioned that she was cold and hope that was enough. Other than those two incidents, she is very well taken care of. 3. How is LO doing with bottles, naps, etc? She is doing great, although we had her on Bottles of BM and Formula since we left the hospital after she lost what the pedi thought was too much weight. Now she is exclusively FF. She naps for about a half hour while there, sometimes an hour.
4. How are you doing? I'm fine. Mondays are my hardest day because I just spent two whole days with her. Although DH has off Mondays and DD doesn't go to Daycare, so that day should be easy.
Can I change my answer about how I'm doing? DH usually does the dropping off, but I did it today and I was a complete mess. I cried my whole drive Awful.

1. What do you like about your daycare?-It's his gma and gpa
2. What issues/problems have you had?- Them thinking they know what's best for him.
3. How is LO doing with bottles, naps, etc?-He's always been fine with bottles and naps over there. Our biggest issue is getting gma to slow the bottle down. She wants to give it too him too fast and then he spits up
4. How are you doing?-I'm doing really good being away from him. I have a rotating desktop of his and Aidan's pictures so that helps a lot.
1. What do you like about your daycare? The past 2 weeks, she's with Grandma and Grandpa, and they're at our house, so we don't have to do dropping off/picking up. Next week we have to start taking her to a nanny's house, so that'll change.
2. What issues/problems have you had?- She still occasionally fights the bottle, although she has made HUGE improvements since day 1!
3. How is LO doing with bottles, naps, etc? She's a good napper. Turn on the music, sway back and forth for 2 minutes, put her in the swing, and she's out for at least an hour. Bottles are still sometimes a challenge, but overall she's doing well.
4. How are you doing? I'm doing ok. I hate sitting at work and going to pump and thinking that I should be nursing her instead. I hate driving away and leaving her every morning. I hate that my afternoon commute is 45 minutes and all I can think about is holding her. And I hate thinking that I have no choice because financially we need me to work. So maybe I'm not doing so well.
