I'm in need of some more ideas of meals that are easy to go from freezer to table. I freeze spaghetti sauce, leftover taco meat, buy frozen grilled chicken strips/breasts. What are some of your favorites?
I'm Definitly open to casserole type dishes to make ahead, as well. We are going to ttc soon and I remember being so exhausted the first tri that it would be great if I could build up my freezer stash so I can just pop things in the oven. We do lots of salads, too, but DH usually likes some sort of hot dinner with it. Thanks!

i get a dozen chicken breasts at a time, double the recipe, and wrap each one in plastic wrap. then i throw them all in a gallon freezer bag and just pull out one or two as needed. serve with an easy salad or veggie or whatever. it's really good.
That sounds yummy! So do just throw a few in baking dish and cook a bit longer since it's frozen?

Lots of recipes here!
HTH
rouladens
empanadas
pierogi (although this is more like an appetizer or snack)
picadillo oaxaqueno
mushroom pesto (do not freeze with the noodles)
curried chickpea stew
cincinnati chili and lots of other soups
Stuffed shells! I make spinach or spinach + italian sausage. Freeze them on a cookie sheet until fully frozen, then toss them in a freezer ziplock. You can take out as few or many as you need. So convenient and delicious!
My filling is: 2 cups mozzarella, 6 oz parm, one of those big ricotta contianers (32 oz?), 1 egg, 1 box frozen spinach cooked/drained, 1 lb sausage browned/crumbled (if desired), and a ton of seasoning to taste. This gets pretty close to filling a regular size box of the jumbo shells.
