ughh go to sleep!

My darling child fell asleep on me at 6:45, so I put him to bed.  For the last hour he has been playing the "I'm going to spit out my paci and scream so you have to come" game.  He is OBVIOUSLY tired but won't stay asleep. 

I even tried nursing him to sleep (which I do NOT usually do).  He ate for 5 minutes and let go, so I put him to bed.  Annnddd now he's up.  Screaming.

    Terrible 2's...lmao j/k But N does this same thing a few times a day...grrrrrr. He'll act like he wants to eat and fall asleep during his bottle ( maybe get 1/2- 1 oz in ), then sleep for anywhere from 15-30 min and wake back up pizzzzed off.

    My 3 year is currently fighting like sleep is poison. I don't even want to imagine what his extraordinarily dramatic screams sound like for the neighbors.

    That is what I'm wishing my 20-month old would do right now.  He has been SO difficult at bedtime lately!  I'm sure it's because of his canines but it suuucks, lol.

    As for DD, she gets a fussy period every night before bedtime.  She will nurse, fuss, nurse, fuss, etc.  I usually end up having to rock her while I nurse to get her settled.

    One of the nurses in the hospital said they're born cute so you don't kill them - I think that was a little harsh, but it definitely helps that he is cute....

    Feel your pain... I have her strapped to me and just finished a 5 minute session with a hair dryer to calm her down. There have been some VERY fussy nights lately, happy to say the hair dryer seems to be her off switch. Thank god we found something that works!!!

    DS has been fighting sleep for the past hour, but luckily isn't fussing *knock on wood* He was even laying in bed with daddy since the past 2 nights that put him out instantly... nope! I'm thinking he'll just conk out soon, hopefully before having a screaming fit.

    DS and I have been having the sleep battle since a little after 7.  Finally after nursing, rocking, swaddling, nursing, walking, swaying, jiggling, nursing some more, burps, snuggles, shhhs, him dozing off twice and me putting him down after 20 minutes of sleep only to have him jerk awake again, my husband loaded him into the car seat and they are off having a drive while I regain my sanity. 

    Holy helll.
