Do any of you remember signing up in store for a BRU baby registry? If so, did you have to provide your driver's license in store to sign up so they had your information? Or did you just go in and fill out the paperwork yourself?
Im asking because at my Childbirth ed class last night, the teacher handed us a newer(?) BRU registry guidebook thing, and in it was a coupon - open a registry at BRU and they will give you a $10 gift card free! It says its for new registries only though....
I was debating just going in and seeing if they'll let me use the coupon with my existing registry but in case they didnt, I thought about going to a different store and opening a second registry under a different name to get the coupon...
....what
do we think here? Is that too dishonest? Do we think they might just
give me the gift card anyways with my existing registry?
Re: XP: BRU registries
I never had to provide a driver's license, and although I never got a GC, I always got a little pack of freebies.
I don't think it is a big deal to do 2.. but I've had an awful time with BRU. When I had my 2 babies, BRU was the only baby store in town, we did not have Buy Buy Baby (which IMO is way better). I bought thousands of $ in merch - furniture, diapers, clothes, bouncers, etc.. pretty much everything.. and I had my registry there. Then they changed their return policy, no returns without a receipt. They wouldn't even take back $2 pack of nipples that I didn't use because my baby didn't like the bottles. I still have bags of unopened stuff and clothes with tags because of BRU. In the big scheme of things, if you have your registry there and it is your main spending place, it would probably get them more business from you anyway..
