Anyone else experience this yet?

So I posted yesterday that I have been drinking a glass of milk everyday this week...craving it! I am lactose intolerant...however it hadn't been bothering me. Last night, I woke up in so much pain...I almost woke up my husband because I was so scared. I had the ligament pains..Im used to those at night..but I also had sharp stabbing pains throughout my entire stomach..the pains wrapped around to my back as well. I would get up to go to the bathroom and couldn't even stand up straight. I also had cramps in my lower abdomen..so wasn't sure if the baby was okay..I was panicing. THen I remembered the milk. I looked up gas during pregnancy and I think this is what was happening to me. I felt so bloated and felt like I needed to go to the bathroom but couldnt. I have diarrea now too.

Reading online...I think its just gas pains...they come and go every few minutes..like contractions. VERY scary! I didn't think gas could hurt like that. I am still thinking I should call the doctor..I don't have an apt until the 23rd. I am going to stay away from milk for a while now...and drink more water.

Anyone else lactose intolerant or have these pains and knew what they were? I feel so stupid now...but last night I was scared out of my mind! I am so paranoid about losing the baby...I just want to make sure things are okay.

Gas pains can be pretty intense and extremely painful, so it is very possible that that is all that it is, but if you are feeling nervous about it, call the doctor and go in to have the baby's heartbeat checked. It would probably be worth it just to ease your mind and help you relax. And stay away from the milk for a bit! Good luck! Smile

Prior to being pregnant I had gas pains that were so bad my hubby took me to the ER. Talk about embarrassing.

My doctors office just opened so I called to make sure things were okay. They said it sounded like gas pains..to take tums..and lay off the milk. lol

They said I don't need to come in..baby is probably fine..I just worry too much. I just have to take it easy and watch for new symptoms to make sure things are getting better.

@mrookie~ Embarrassing but better safe than sorry! I was willing to go last night, but didnt want to wake up my husband if its gas. Its hard to know whats going on in there!

Like PP around 20wks preg with DD I headed to the ER with what I thought for sure was contractions...nope...just really bad gas that passed after a pretty intense trip to the bathroom...ugh talk about embarassing!

I haven't had the gas pains but I am lactose intolerant and just gave into my milk cravings yesterday. Gotta have it! It was soooo good! I'll watch out though, limit the amount I'm drinking.

I am lactose intolerant and have been craving milk also but have been really weary about drinking it for fear that this same thing will happen. Every few years I try milk and the outcome is always the same...the worst gas imaginable for almost 24 hours

Try almond milk or rice milk (I avoid soy milk because of the hormones). They don't bother my belly as much!

This happened to me on Tuesday. I was driving home and got bad cramps like that- by the time I got home I was sweating I was in so much pain. I finally fell asleep for an hour and felt so much better when I woke up- but then had diarrhea all the next day. Yeah, TMI, but I know what you went through. It's completely awful, and I'm being a little more cautious with dairy now.

Seems like most with lactose intolerance know how you feel. I would still call the OB b4 the weekend just to be safe-if it doesnt pass quickly at least you will have peace of mind and not have a scary weekend!

Almost exactly this! And my bump is really sensitive to pressure so when I would try to go to the bathroom it was really awful. Boo.

I have been going through this since Monday. I thought I had a UTI beacuse of the cramping. I went to the doc on Wednesday and they ran every possible test and couldn't find anything. Turns out it was a slow progression of the stomach flu. Today was rough, but I am starting to feel better. I did take some Gas-x and that seemed to help. I have you feel better soon.
