I think you can search September Sweet Peas on FB and then request to join. Should be that simple.

Yes, just type in September Sweet Peas-2011 (I think) and it should take you to it. They'll ask for your bump name before adding you so it may take a bit. Took me a couple days to be added.

LOL, that's a good question. I think we all just wanted a better way to be connected. We're pretty close (and apparently addicted to the internet! lol), so I think FB was just another way to communicate. Womancake mentioned (and I think we all pretty much agreed) that we shouldn't abandon the board for FB. So far, it's been a pretty nice balance.

Feel free to chime in, ladies.

Plus having a FB group people feel more comfortable with posting as it's a private group than posting alot of stuff on a public message board with stalkers and crazys.

A lot of people can't post on the bump from their phones and what not, but can post on fb. Definitely busier on here, but fb is a nice change of pace at times. More like a conversation.

I think some people like that it's (slightly) more private than TB. You have to be a member of the group to read posts. So it's not like TB where literally anyone with an internet connection can read posts.

Yup I think the idea too is that many of us have made real life connections with some other bumpies (so to speak), so facebook allows us that avenue to add people as friends on there and continue the friendships on another level as well.

Also - yes it's private - although you wont see as much wall posting on the FB group as you do on here...it does have a really weird way of sorting the wall posts that takes getting used to. There is a sense of it being more secure though because everyone there are admins keeping an eye on things, and also the group can only be seen by others in the group (and the facebook gods)

It's not for everyone, and certainly not everyone has joined, but there is a list on the group of the bump names vs. real names....so if there is a specific bumpie you feel you'd want to privately connect with outside of TB private messaging - you can use facebook to do so!

It's not a method to replace FB, and it hasnt...it's not "clicky"...just the same as this, and a little less wall posting goes on.... but fun to have another connection method nonetheless!

And ahhhh yes lol I just got about 10 requests from people to add! Like PP said - we need to verify everyone's name before adding them, so be patient with us. We will get you on as soon as we can though!!

I posted something on the FB page today that I wasn't comfortable posting here. It's not even the "trolls and crazies" I was worried about, but I'd hate for someone I know, especially a student, to stumble upon that particular question on a totally open internet forum.

Nothing you post on the internet is ever totally "safe", but a private fb group is at least less searchable and/or likely to be accidentally discovered by those you'd rather not be reading about certain parts of your life. Smile

Hmm Kasey that's weird. There must be something wrong with my facebook because I emailed quite a few people, and haven't seen responses from anyone! I was starting to wonder how EVERYONE was all of a sudden offline and hadnt responded to me. lol Maybe I'll restart my FB and see if the messages come through!
