Hopefully this isn't TMI or offensive...

in TTC After a Loss

Tomorrow will be one month from the time my miscarriage began (I was 7/8 weeks) and everything had passed within that week.

 My doctor gave me the okay to start trying without waiting for AF.  If AF doesn't come this cycle then I plan on using all the tools of ttc (opks, basal thermometer, charting, etc.).

 (Insert TMI here) after I had gone to the bathroom, I wiped and noticed a very long, sticky, light brown mucus/discharge.  I had not had any cramps or discomfort before or after.

 My question is what the heck is this?!   I know it is not any type of STD since I my doctor tested me when I first found out I was pregnant a few months back.  (Still not sure as to why she did this, as I am married, lol.)

 Anyways could this be a sign of ovulation?  Implantation?  Left over from my miscarriage?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It sounds like it was egg white cervical mucus (EWCM.) If that is what it is that means you would be nearing ovulation.

    Yeah!  I was kind of hoping that is was a sign of ovulation!  If you could post that website, that would be awesome.

     

    I really need to educate myself with ovulation signs...

    Definitely sounds like EWCM... after my D&C my EWCM was tinted a bit brown (im assuming from old blood)... You should definitely BD whenever you see EWCM!!!

    Haha oh BD already happened! Embarrassed

     I texted my husband as soon as I saw this, thankfully it was the end of the day (I am a teacher) and he has a flexible job and was able to meet me at home for a little afternooner.

     Talk about perfect timing!

     How often do you think we should BD?  Every day for the next 4 days?  Twice in one day?  Suggestions welcomed!

    Sounds like maybe it is ovulation spotting given you have fertile quality cervical mucous AND spotting! Yay! It is a sign of good ovulation too.

    I would BD for the next 3 days... EWCM is there before O... i guess you can 2x a day if you want and there are no MF issues!!

    Oh yeah. Sounds like ewcm to me as well. Sometimes when I first get it about 3 days before O, it's very palest brown, but then goes to cloudy white, and finally clear, plump, and super stretchy on the day of O.

    Somewhere around here is a very graphic, but highly educational website showing cervical mucous and cervical position throughout one entire cycle...
