We're going to San Diego in a few weeks to go to Seaworld, Zoo, and Legoland, so you beat that Emmy will be looking like one of those kids in a double stroller. There is no way she can walk that much, even I can't!! And there is no way for us to carry a 45 lb kid all over the place when she's tired or sleepy.
With that said, she hasn't been in a stroller for over a year. However, even when she was 3, she looked like one of those kids. She's a naturally tall kid (when she was 3, the Dr said she was the avg size of a 5 yo). But her muscles and bones are still that of a 3 year old. And so walking 1/2 a mile was a lot for her.

So I really don't judge.
This. I judge people carrying their sleeping big kid a lot more than I do seeing a kid in a stroller! What's the point of doing that to yourself??? Yeah, much nicer to walk around with 50lbs on your shoulder than push a stroller. DD is really tall and when she wants to ride in the front of the joovy, she has to pick her feet up so I'm sure people like that blogger think she's too big.
Re: Kids too big for the stroller?
I give it a side eye when I see it too. If you're old enough to buy adult sized shoes, you're old enough to walk.
Some of those were classic.
