Anyone give their LO probiotics?

My doctor recommended giving my LO probiotics to help with colic.  She gave me a coupon for Florajen.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  Did it help your LO?  How do you give it to them?  I had never heard of giving it to an infant, so I'm just looking to see if anyone else has any experience with probiotics.

    We use BioGaia.  I really feel like they have helped DS.  He is less gassy and has easy BMs.  He's never had any reflux issues.  We started him at 2 weeks.  

     We add 5 drops to his formula each day.  I have a little medicine bottle thing and I put some formula in there so I can be sure he drink it all.

    We have Thrush so I give my LO powder probiotics. I put them on my finger and let her suck them off.
