Its reasonable to spend over an hour and a half trying to get her to nap, right?

  • I usually don't spend more than 30 minutes trying to get Oliver down for a nap.  If he's not asleep at that point I figure he's not tired yet & get him up to play a little longer.

  • Poor mama. Noelle just doesn't do naps very well for you. I would PIP some chocolate but I can't do that at work. So imagine a very huge piece of delicious chocolate cake on this page and it's all for you.

  • I am in the same boat! I just gave up and let her play some more.
  • Like PP said, I only try for a half hour. If she's not asleep I let her play for 20-30 minutes longer. When she is tired, she only takes ten minutes at the most to fall asleep.

  • Oh, hon. I'm so sorry. Did she finally pass out?

This is how things work around here as well.

I'm sorry. I can't even imagine trying to get her to sleep for that long when the nap will likely be shorter!

  • I have so been there. I once spent 2 hours trying to get him down and he woke up 30 minutes later. I don't like the math on that equation!
  • ugh Poor Mama,

After ten minutes of Ike fighting me, I just set him down and let him play a little more, then try again. Good Luck!

  • I usually let her play again and say forget the nap, but when I try that now she's exhausted.  Rubbing her eyes, screaming, a mess.  Nurse, nom nom, sleep, put her down and "Oh hai I'm awake and pissed off".

It's been 2 hours now.  I had to come downstairs for a breather.  Last night it took 3 hours to get her to bed.

What the eff.  Teething?  She has had her bottom two for about 6 weeks now.  Who knows.
