What kind of cup/ bottle do you use (i.e. sippy cup, straw cup)? What brand? Right now we use the Tommee sippy cup but I'm thinking of changing her to the straw cups. Not sure. She knows how to drink from a straw and uses it to drink boxed apple juice.
Re: 18t months: What does your baby drink from?
we still use bottles for milk and may be the case until he's 18! i just don't know how you all get rid of the bottles.. really!
for water he uses a tilty cup. LOOOOVE! it replicates an adult cup and it's hard top but it's the only thing my son will drink from. too bad he wont drink milk from it.
My baby is two!!! Baby girl 9/17/09
My other baby is still a baby! Baby Boy 11-30-11
This. Exactly.
Go Phils!!
and....
All by Tommee Tippee. I love them because they do not leak, even the straw cups.
We have a few of the Take N' Toss sippy cups. DD never took a sippy, just a straw cup so we are trying to get her use to tipping her cup to drink. But we mainly use straw cups.
A sippy cup with the valve removed. He's been using that since 15 months.
He uses regular glasses on occasion. He knows how but needs practice on tipping the glass slowly so he doesn't douse himself in water. I try to let him practice with them once a day, but that doesn't always happen.
We have the top ones and DD loves them!
LO will drink from most hard spout sippys 95% of the time, the only time he drinks from a soft spout (Nuk Learner Cup Spout) is at bed time... 100% off a "bottle" since 13 months... didn't fight giving it up, the Nuk Learner Cup is what made the transition so easy for him.

My children drink from the veins of the unannointed.
I am in a Goth phase today.
We use Playtex Sippy cups (the "regular" kind and the kind with a straw) most of the time, but DD is pretty good with a regular cup and straw as well when she's in her high chair. We are slowly working on regular cups, too, but we've still got a long ways to go!
My son uses the born free toddler spouts on his glass bottles.
The pedi said those were ok.
