anyone take spironolactone (aldactone)?
Hi- im currently on spironolactone (aldactone) for hormonal problems. DH and I are ttc and I asked my RE if I should quit taking it now since I've heard it can cause harm to the fetus. There is no scientific proof but just wondering if anyone took it while ttc? My doc said I could stop taking it as soon as I get a BFP....Is that true?

i was put on spiro by my dermatologist and when i told him i was ttc he told me that when i am ttc, i should act as if i'm pregnant and prepare by going off all meds that i shouldn't be on...therefore i went off of it to be safe. i got pregnant the first month (!) so i was glad i listened to him. I'd just rather play it safe.
