so I've gained 14 lbs [apparently that's ok]. I mentioned to her that I would like to deliver naturally and she automatically said I have a suggestion for you... you seem like you would benefit greatly from a dula! Yea, def lady! she has this one that she works with on a steady basis. I also asked her about an episiotomy and she said in her years of delivering she has only done this ONCE [yay!] and it was only because of an emergency. I am super happy about this. I am very glad I went with this doctor. she made me super comfortable and she isn't the kind to "pee on my leg and tell me it's raining" [don't you love judge judy?] anyway, we also talked about cord blood and all this other stuff. She really took the time to talk to me on a personal note and I'm just so happy with her. She said that her and i are working as a team and that she doens't want me to just follow her 'orders' and I LOVE that. She's allowing me to ask questions and talk about what I've read [albeit online, but we discussed that].
I heart my doctor!

like funnyvalentine, i switched OBs (about 6 weeks in to my 1st pregnancy). it was the best, BEST, BEST decision I made for myself and our baby. and it was so much easier than i thought it would be. even with the complications i was having that caused me to switch, pregnancies are pretty routine and any OB will be able to pick up where the last one left off. i say the minute you second guess or have any doubts, switch! you won't regret it!
yea, mine told me I should gain 1 lb a week = 40 lbs. any more than that and she said it might be hard to lose it after baby. the only worry is losing it and i'm confident in myself that i can do it [i'm pretty vein].
