BF'ing benefits month-by-month

I came across this article that I found really interesting. It talks about the benefits of BF'ing and breaks it down by how long you breastfeed. As I said in the UO thread, I'm going to give it a try, but I'm concerned with whether I'll be able to continue after I go back to work. Knowing how much my baby will benefit if I can even do it for just the first two months, makes me feel good. Seeing what an additional month or two can do makes me want to try as hard as possible to find a way to BF.

Interesting article.

I EBF'ed for 5 months, and BF'ed for 11 months, and I agree with the majority of the article. My DS is very healthy and extremely smart, he walked and talked early, and I attribuite some of that to BF'ing. I also loved the experience.

I like how it points out that even if you're only able to do it for a few days, there are important benefits to both you and baby. Thanks for posting!

Definitely! I sent it to a friend of mine who BF'd for 2 months and then stopped (not sure why), but she has been beating herself up over it ever since. I think it's nice to see that even if you do it for a little bit, there are still a lot of benefits!
