Can't Sign Up For Classes Yet ):

Urg. I am so frustrated! DH has out of town jobs coming up and they keep changing the dates on when they are leaving and how long they'll be gone! I am having a hard time planning around his jobs. He wanted to be a part of the hospital tour and the childbirth class and even the 3D u/s, but I can't sign up for anything not knowing when he'll be here. We're signed up for the hospital tour but I may have to cancel that since a job changed. And i'm thinking i'm just gonna have to go do everything without him. And what if it's too late and the classes are filled? UGH!

So are any of you going to a class alone? Or going with a parent or friend? I'm thinking about asking if I can put DH's name down and if he can't make it if I can bring someone in his place. Help?

    I have mine this weekend...I am sure you still have time!  Can you maybe have someone else go with you?

    We had a hard time finding a class that worked for both of our schedules. We ended up picking a class that runs five weeknights for 2 hours each starting next week. DH can't make one out of the five so my mom is going to go with me to that class. Good luck working something out!

    We took a few classes already and there were plenty of women that went by themselves or had someone else other than their husbands come with them.

    I went to class last week and there was a woman who was alone.  Her DH works out of town and will only be able to attend 1 of our 6 classes.  The instructor said she encourages people to bring a parent or a friend to class if your significant other can't make it.  In fact, she said if relatives come in from out of town feel free to bring them.

    My hubby works nights so he can't make it to any of the classes!  I went to the educational ones on pre term labor and stuff all by myself.  I am taking my Aunt with me for the birthing classes (mom passed 4 yrs ago) and she will be my "birthing coach" so to speak but I am sure that if I didn't have her my MIL would be out of her mind excited to do it.  just not sure how i could cope with it.  Don't be stressed to do some of it by yourself!  and if all else fails you can have a second tour with him when he gets back in town.  our hospital runst hem several times a week. GL

    DH's schedule is unpredictable, so I'm fairly sure I'll go to at least one of my three classes alone. I asked if that was okay, the instructors said yes.. so I'm just going to go with it. They have DVD's you can rent too so I think I may get one of those & let him watch it so he can learn what I learned & practice with me if need be.

    I've already finished my classes. I'm not sure if it's the same everywhere, but we had a girl who started the classes with her husband and then had her mom go with her for the end because he was out of town. If your husband doesn't mind missing some classes and you don't mind going without him asking is always a good idea.
