When did you install the infant carseat?

I am gradually checking things off my pre-baby to-do list...dragging baby gear out of the basement, washing Natalie's old clothes, doing excessive house cleaning (lol). I have a c-section scheduled at 39 weeks but I'm convinced I'm not going to make it that far. When did you install the carseat (or at least the base) in your car?

Sadly, I think we waited until the day before I was induced (at 41 weeks). DH is a procrastinator and I had a feeling Evan wasn't going to budge until we made him.

Um...probably 37-38 weeks. I would have left it until the day we needed it, but DH made me do it.

This time around DH did it while I was in the hospital. Normally it would have been done sooner butt my car was in the shop.

DH installed it when I went into labor. It takes like 2 seconds to install the base if you are hooking them in to the anchors in your vehicle.

This. He did it the day he came to pick us up.

With A, I did it a few hours before I went in for my induction.

With C it was a few weeks.

With K I think DH did it right before we left the hospital.

the night before i was induced, but i was induced at 36w5d. i doubt it would have happened that soon otherwise.

dh tried it in his old car before that and it didn't fit. that's when we knew we'd have to get him something else pretty soon after dd arrived.

I think my DH installed it like 3 weeks before my due date. Luckily he did it in time because I was 2 weeks early.

With DD, the day we left the hospital. She was 3 weeks early.

With DS a few weeks before he was born I put bases in both cars.

I went into labor unexpectedly at 37w, so DH installed it in the car while we were still at home.

DS#1- DH did it about 2 weeks before I was due so that he could take it to the checker guys and make sure it was in right.

DS#2- he did it when I was in the hospital after the baby was born

DS1- around 37 weeks

DS2- does it count if it's in the trunk of my car right this very second? DH will put it in when he goes to pull the car around when we leave tomorrow.
