Bethenny Ever After

Am I the only cheeseball who is into this reality show?

Am I the only one who loved the finale?

If not, I would love to hear what you ladies thought.  I actually thought it was really inspiring that you could have career, the baby, the hubby and just because the big 4-0 is approaching, don't give up hope.

Maybe it just resonated with me because I have a lot of smart, beautiful friends in their mid-late 30s who think it will never happen and her story was just encouraging to me

Re: Bethenny Ever After

  • She's the rich "real housewife" from NYC, right?

Honestly, I don't watch these shows because they make me feel worse about having no career, no extra money and almost no support (ie. no date nights because no babysitters).

Though after reading your post, perhaps I should reconsider.

Most of them are sans career. They're either trophy wives whose husbands have gone broke so they need the cash from the shows to stay solvent or they've started businesses selling crappy tat using their RH fame.

Bethenny seems to be the exception in that she seems to be reasonably clever and to have an actual product.

And yes, all the Bravo shows are a truly embarrassing addiction Embarrassed

Lurker here, but wanted to say I heart Bethenny.  I wish she was my friend!

  • i agree about the real housewives shows but i think bethenny was different.  she was a middle class chef with wealthy friends and was a little out of place.  what is inspiring is that she actually worked hard to establish herself and her cocktail business was built from the ground up and became her source of wealth.  off course the reality show gave her biz added publicity but the show portrayed how hard she had to work.  besides she is hysterical which is reason enough to watch

  • I love Bethenny, too.  She has worked her butt off to get what she has.  Bad boyfriends, bad friends (Jill), and shitty parents. She truly is an inspiration!

I had a dream last night that I grabbed the last bottle of Skinnygirl Margarita off the shelf at the store!  haha  everytime I try to buy it they are out!  I think it is a sign that I might get a bottle soon!  LOL

  • No, you are not the only cheeseball... I LOVE me some Bethanny. She was always my favorite RHW. I felt so bad for her when all that crap went down with Jill, I rooted for her to get what she wanted... a career and a family. Her husband is perfect for her and that Bryn is adorable.

I want to know how much money she made. Anyone know what SkinnyGirl was purchased for?

I heard it was about $120 million. Andy Cohen interviewed her and said the amount was rumored to be about $120 million, she didn't say yes  but got quiet and blushed.

  • I don't want to like this show but I do. That said, I make no special efforts to watch it. If I catch reruns when Ada is sleeping then I'll sit to watch.

Are you serious? Oh, I don't like that one bit. That kind of money can ruin people. My DH always plays the lottery. I think it's a total waste of money BUT I secretly hope that he doesn't win. Or, I should say, doesn't win BIG. But, if she's happy, that's all that matters. Yikes.

  • Love her. Love every show on Bravo. I am pathetic. I don't watch TV often but when I do, it's a DVR'd Bravo show.
