  I never saw the movie.
  
  Haven't read the book since I was a kid, but... I do remember that it was one of my favorites.
  
  I should go get it and check it out.
  
  It will totally crack me up if one of my favorite books as a kid now makes absolutely no sense to me.

  It really doesn't make sense - but Fin LOVES it! He will happily read it every night, and several times throughout the day. I have no idea why

  I love that book and so do my kids!  The movie was awful though... I didn't even finish watching it.  I think they like it best over the age of 1 though.  We always have a blast roaring our terrible roars and gnashing our terrible teeth and rolling our terrible eyes, and showing our terrible claws!
