Powder FF how do you travel with it?

I just switched to powder FF not too long ago. First I bought one of those small divided formula containers, and its kind of a PIA. Then I bought the tommy tippee things you put inside the bottle, I really like them but out of a box of 6 I can only find 2 of them. When I go for a long day trip I'll take the smaller can with me rather than the plastic tub (I use similac sensitive). How do you travel with your formula? Do you use a travel container or have any helpful tips? TIA! :)

I have one of these.  They're like $5 at Target.   I also use Similac Sensitive, and if I'm going for a whole day... more than the three bottles that prepares, I take the can.  They do have 4 chamber containers also.  I'm just too lazy to find one.

  • You can but a box of little packets of formula. One packet makes four oz.

Similac sensitive doesn't come in the travel packs.  If it does, I've never found it.

  • I use the travel container thingie with the dividers. Mine only holds 3 bottles worth of powder. Before I got the travel thing, I just filled a little tupperware container with the powder and took the scoop along with me.

I don't have any tips cuz it seems to work just fine for me.. GL though!

  • I put the formula in the bottle and take a couple of warm bottled waters with me.  I just pour the water into the bottle with the formula in it, and "presto" bottle made!

  • If I'm going to be gone for a while (more than 3 bottles worth of the day) I saved the can from the sample of gentlease I got from the pedi, works great.

  • I use the divided formula container that has 3 sections. I really like it. I take a small bottle (4oz.) and then another bottle with 8 oz and then I just pour more water into the smaller bottle and use it again. Similac I know comes in a single use 4oz packets. I actually got some of those to take on the air plane next week.

  • I use the Tommee Tippee dispensers. We have a cabinet in our kitchen dedicated to bottles, nipples, formula, bowls, etc so nothing gets lost.

  • I just take the can with me and put the water in all the bottles that I take. I take 2 bags with me everywhere lol one bag as a diaper bag and one with bottles and formula....it can get kinda annoying carrying all that stuff around but I HATE not being prepared. But taking the can with me works.

This except I bought the 4 section one, either at walmart or target. If you can afford the indvidual packets those are much easier but they cost a lot more.

  • Ditto to the Munchkin dispenser. We used that a ton with DS. Also, I've taken those small snack size ziploc bags and made my own individual servings in those as well. Of course, it looks like I'm traveling with illicit drugs at first glance, but oh well. : )

  • I use the Munchkin dispenser too.

We use Enfamil AR which can be out of the fridge for 2 hrs instead of 1, so if he's scheduled to be fed within 2 hrs of us leaving the house, I take one prepared bottle and the rest in the dispenser.
