I think things have been solved. Thank god.
Basically, the woman I talked to earlier who claimed to be the manager wasn't. She was really his assistant. She basically told me she thought I made the whole thing up and used that as justification for not helping me.
Right after I posted on here I decided to drive down to the store. I talked to the real manager who was honest and owned up to what his employees did wrong. It was nice. I told him the situation and asked what he could do to fix it. He discounted the $2,000 set to $150 over what we were going to pay for the original set. The set we got is better, newer, and more awesome. So I'm pretty happy with getting the better set. They are coming to deliver it Friday morning including set up.
I'm still pissed that the assistant claimed to be the manager and how lame she was about the situation. The manager fixed it though so overall I'm happy. He did an almost 50% discount!

I know in those types of situations it's so easy to give up. For me, anyway.. Good job on going down there and doing something about it!
I hope so! She even knew exactly what happened. The guy I talked to tomorrow is quitting next week. He has checked out of the job. He has done this exact same thing (lied about putting something on hold) to several other people in just this week! So it wasn't a new problem.
