I think that's funny! I guess to some kids it's all about presentation :-)
I give DD as much as she wants! She is very tiny for an almost 2 year old so I don't worry too much about her over-eating or too many calories. I usually always give her one when I can't get her to eat anything else or feel she's not had enough to eat that day.
Here is a Q & A about avacados and toddlers. This may help your case with your DH!
Her favorite food by itself? Hummus. Her favorite meal? Cream cheese salsa chicken from the crock pot. She doesn't eat much normally (at all), but she can out eat DH and I put together when I make that.

Thanks for the link! i'm sending it to my husband now. My son will only eat watermelon for fruit and no veggies unless it's pureed and hidden in his pasta. So this might be our gem.
I always give him half an avocado and lie to my DH that it's only a quarter b/c he freaks. His thing isn't about the fat -we're happy it's full of fat.. but that it suppose to make you go to the bathroom more often.
Re: Poll: Food & Toddler's Non-Clicky
Mcdonalds, followed by a healthy scoop of sweet cream with sprinkles from Coldstone, kids size of course.
Oh wait, that's my favorite food...
His is probably grilled cheese.
Strawberries
bananas or crackers
fruits,
pears and mango
same as yours.. avocado. but it has to be in the guacamole bowl that they use in restaurants.
How much avocado do you give your LO? my DH always complains i give him too much and i sometimes sneak it into his meals b/c i know it's healthy fats.
I can always get him to eat banana, yogurt, peanut butter and watermellon. Other things he likes one day and hates the next.
1. french fries & peas (not together necessarily)
2. cheese
3. tuna fish (with mayo and relish)
4. apple sauce (or fruit in general)
5. annie's bunnies
all of the above, in that order, are definitely her faves though she really is a great eater.

Carbs in general
Although black beans, broccoli, peas and any type of meat are all very closely behind.
rice
followed closely by noodles
graham crackers
Our family blog
sweet potato fries or cheese
or pretty much any kind of fruit
Mandarin oranges.
And pretty much everything else... Bananas, any kind of meat, grilled cheese, PB&J, etc.
Fruits, cheese, carrots, oatmeal and waffles. He is pretty picky but he surprises us by eating stuff he didn't used to like so keep trying:)
