I thought I would make my random roll calls a little more interesting so besides talking about our day/night/baby I'll try to come up with a topic or a question for us to discuss. Feel free to give me ideas or feed back. And feel free to talk about whatever you want ![]()
Today was a overall a fantastic day for LO - she was so talkative and for the most part happy. I remember waiting for her to smile at me, not at the gas bubbles, and she did a ton of toothless, tongue curled, mouth wide open smiles for me today which I caught on camera and video
The next thing I'm really looking forward to is her calling for me (saying mama). That and having her STTN. What next 'milestone' are you looking forward to?

Today was an okay day for little son. He was cute and cuddly this morning and afternoon. Except he turned into an unholy terror from about 7 to 10, when he finally fell asleep.
Now I'm waiting for him to eat once more before I head to bed.
The milestone I'm most looking forward to next is babbling! He's trying so hard to make noises, but he just can't. quite. get there. It is precious. I'm going to be so proud of him when he can make his vocal cords work when he wants them to.
Aubrey's smile is precious!!
I can't wait for LO to start smiling for real and to start cooing. It would be nice to know that all of our time spent talking to her is doing some good.
Adventures with Amelia
Looking for smiles here as well! LO def smiles - but they are completely random which leads me to believe they are still gas... boo...
I had a horrible day.... will post later in depth but it ended with me getting in a huge fight with my mom and sister and "cutting them off" - let's just say I am an emotional basket-case as my mom is also my best friend....
Other than that - LO was up ALL night again (11pm to 7am) finally went to sleep at 7 and was up at 10 for food, then 1...and didn't go back to sleep until about 5pm.... I feel so bad for her. Her little mouth hurts so bad! Right now she is sleeping peacefully and I had to force her to eat her 9pm meal....which took a long time due to her not fully waking up to eat... narg... ha ha - but she is so darn cute!
Here is her during "awake time" this afternoon:
We had a pretty good day. We had to go once again pick up new formula, then I wore DS while we grocery shopped, and we went on a walk in the park with his girlfriend...my friend has a six month old and we've decided they belong together.
I'm looking forward to more smiles. I've gotten a few (very few) intentional smiles, but I want more.
Girly girl just fell asleep on my chest... I'm giving it a few minutes to make sure she's really out before we go upstairs to bed. Don't want to disturb daddy if we don't have to. Fingers crossed she's out for the night- and fingers crossed she does another five hour stretch like last night!!!
I'm waiting for real smiles- she smiles a lot, but I don't think they've been "real" yet since it's early.
I'm looking forward to a real smile, or heck, I guess first I'm really looking forward to him looking at me and actually seeing me.

My Blog - Our Story So Far...
As far as milestones, I'm just waiting for Liam to get a little stronger at picking his head up and looking around. I got "talked to" by the pediatrician that he should be doing more tummy time for muscle development. We *do* tummy time, but it's not his favorite thing to do. If you're walking with his head on your shoulder, he lifts his head all the time to look at things; just doing it when he's on his stomach isn't his thing yet. Most tummy times last about 3 to 5 minutes at a time and end with him crying :-( I'm guessing this is because he was three weeks early.
Today we took our longest walk babywearing yet so far--just to a park down the hill where the moms group meets, but coming home uphill still felt like a challenge. Tonight, I'm planning on writing some poetry, Liam is asleep on me, and Jared is in the basement practicing for an upcoming gig. The author pics I was sending off earlier today were for the 2012 Poet's Market. (I'm the "publishing expert" on form poetry this year, so I figured I should actually write some poetry :-)
Mac and cheese lover!
