What are you getting?

I originally registered for a Shermag, but have decided to pony up for one that I love, since I didn't really love that one. Who wants to help me find one? They all look the same to me and I don't know what good is.

The nursery furniture is cherry and we want a color of fabric that will be neutral enough to go in another LO's nursery, if we should happen to be blessed with another one.

I love our PBK chair so much that I am VERY close to finding our movers and beating them to a pulp for staining the slipcover. This is the version my DH likes the best.

We got a La-Z-Boy rocker/recliner. We got a good neutral color that went in DD's room, but it's now in the living room. Definitely have to go to the store to try them out though!

We ordered this one with the chocolate microsuede fabric a few weeks ago. Some of the reviews aren't great, but it was so comfortable in the store so we'll see.

We bought a Dutalier. It's a.ma.zing. but quite pricey. We got it in an off-white velvet type material. It fully reclines and glides... OMG heaven.

I got a glider from Rooms to Go. I figured after the nursery, we'd move it to the office or man cave, so we needed something that looked like a recliner, rather than nursery furniture.

We have this one and to be honest the back cushion after use stinks we trashe and replaced it with large throw pillow

We went with the POANG chair and footstool from IKEA. They also make a rocker version. It is actually really comfortable!

We also decided to spring for a deluxe glider. We went for a leather upholstered Dutailier from their AvantGlide collection...I believe we went with the Chicago model. Quite a chunk of change, but I figure I will be parking my butt in it for the majority of the summer, so it had better be comfy! Plus, it'll last a good 20 years or so, so once we're done using it to rock babies, it will transition easily to the living room or den since it doesn't look overtly nursery-ish. I freaking LOVE the thing, can't wait for it to be delivered in a couple weeks!

We did go with the Shermag ourselves.

But I would have loved one of the nice full plush glider/recliners from BBB (they have an awesome selection, if there's one in your area). We just couldn't justify spending the money, so we went the economy route.

We're still working on this. I love one of the ones at BRU (it's a cherry dutalier with ecru microfiber fabric) like this:

but my dad expressed concern about the open sides as a potential injury issue when baby becomes a curious crawler/walker, so now I'm on the hunt for one with closed sides, but not the bigger "easychair" models (too big for the space we have).

Dutalier does make a few models like above with closed sides, I'm just trying to find a place that carries them and price them out...

I got the newco chenille rounded back glider and ottoman from Walmart online and did ship to store so we wouldn't have to pay for shipping. It was $200-300 cheaper than a very similar one at BRU. I love it and it is super comfortable

We got a Dutailier from BRU for DD. I highly recommend trying them instore, to make sure the cushions hit at the right part of your back to be comfortable for looooong stretches.

My mom is giving me the rocker she used when I was an infant. If she hadn't I think we would have either gone with a glider (possibly from Craig's List) or the POANG rocker from IKEA.
