Need opinions on a name DH loves

He likes literally none of the names that I suggest.  So, the only one we can agree on at this point is Tessa. 

He also really loves the name Phoebe, and is trying to get me on board.  I want to love it, because it's different and kind of spunky, but I'm just not sure I see it as a very pretty name.  I think of Pheobe from the tv show friends, and that's about it.

Can anyone sell me on this name?

    sorry, I'm with you. I think it's kind of a silly-sounding name. I don't think it sounds very nice next to Ava.

    I like Tessa the best.  I think it would fit a young girl just as well as a grown woman.

    I just don't like the way the name Phoebe looks.  Don't ask me why.

    I want to like Tessa, but it reminds me of the character from Degrassi Jr High/Degrassi High.  She took Joey Jeremiah's virginity away while he was supposed to be saving himself for Caitlin. (I know I'm OLD, and obviously have a thing for Canadian TV programs)

    I love Tessa - gorgeous name and classic. Phoebe is sort of a "you either love it or hate it" type name, and it sounds like you are not in the "love it" category. I'd say go for Tessa.

    I like Phoebe but I coudln't get DH on board. Same with Fiona. I love Tessa, but only as a nickname for Teresa, which I also love.

    I don't really like either, sorry. Phoebe just doesn't sound pretty to me and Tessa (and Tess) will always remind me of testicle. Other ideas:

    Irene, Iris, Natalie, Loralei, Grace, Melanie, Corinne, Eliza, Brooke, Autumn, Penelope, Rose, Marie

    Tessa isn't really my style, but it's 100% better than Phoebe!

    I really like Tessa, and I think it goes really well with Ava. I'm not a fan of Phoebe, I just can't put my finger on why not.

    My best friends little sisters name is Tessa and she's an absolute doll! Everyone calls her Ted or Teddy for short (not sure why) but I love it. She's adorable!

    No, I can't sell you on it. I just think of the episode where one of Rachel's sisters is calling Phoebe by the wrong name....Lisa Kudrow repeats over and over again, "Pheobe" throughout the episode. Finally, Rachel's sister stops and says, "Why does she keep making that noise?"

    I like Tessa and Phoebe both!  Tessa is a contender for a future LO for us.  I do like Tessa more, but I love that Phoebe is spunky and ages well.

    I like Pheobe, as a nickname probably because I have a sis whose nickname is VV. 

    Sorry that I can't sell it to you, but Tessa sounds nice. Is it short for Contessa?

    I really love Tessa.  I like it MUCH MUCH more than Phoebe.

    Phoebe always feels like a really weak, limp name to me.  And for some reason, in my family, being called a "Phoeb" (feeb) means to be forgetful, a dufus, etc.  So pairing that with Phoebe from "Friends" the whole name feels scatterbrained to me :).

    Love Pheobe and I'm surprised to see how many of you don't.  Seems like a choice that would be popular with the majority of regulars here.

    I prefer Tessa to Phoebe. There's something about the "essa" part that sounds very feminine to me.
