Re: *~*~*Weekly Mom's check-in*~*~*
QOTW:
I definitely did have a "mom's body" before getting PG again. I was able to loose all the weight fairly quickly, but my body was never the same again. Things did not fit right, etc. It really did not bother me too much besides not being able to wear some of my clothes again. Now that I am PG again, my body is totally different then the 1st time around. I am right now at 13 weeks the size that I was around 20+ weeks with number1. ugh!
Updates:
I am too tired to think. Abby has been getting up much earlier these days, 6am today. She used to sleep until around 8am every morning, but the past few weeks it started being 7-7:30am. now with the time change it is 6-6:30am.
Besides that she is still a happy and healthy. Her latest "game" is to try to lick me, yes I said lick me. I have her dad to thank for that. He taught her that it is hilarious to lick me since I hate it and think it is so gross. Now she laughs hysterically the whole time. YUCK!
lol - what's a mom-body?
I'm definitely carrying some extra weight, and it didn't help that I was a little overweight before I got pregnant. I know I get lose it, I just need to get off my lazy butt! Oh, and none of my clothes fit. I wear jogging shorts and tank tops most days, lord only knows what I'll do when I go back to work!
Updates - DS has started a cooking class! He's hooked on the Food Network so we thought this would be something fun for him. So far he likes it, and doens't mind that there's only one other boy in the class
DD is starting to sleep through the night, we get a good 6-7 solid hours. And she's growing, already into a 3-6 M size on some things.
QOTW - Mommy body? I've always had a Mom body, long before I was ever a Mommy. All that belly flab everyone complains about? Um, yeah, that's my body shape. Has *always* been there. My sister has the same thing - even when size 4 she had the belly flab. No flat abs ever in the nanann fam. SO, no huge adjustment on my part!
Updates?
Elena (3 yrs 2 mths): We're working on Operation Bye-Bye Pacifier right now. YES, I know she's over 3 yrs old and way overdue. She only got it in the bed and in the car, and only starting at a year. can thank DH for that. We had her "mail" the pacifiers to a Baby Elena who is a 2nd cousin she met at a Halloween party a couple weeks ago, and Baby Elena "mailed" her some jewelry. It's worked well -- she's been pacifier-free since Saturday night. She hasn't slept the best, but getting better. Today was the 1st day she's asked for them back, but that's not going to happen! Figured I might as well do it at the same time as daylight savings since that was going to mess up sleep anyway!
Julia (10 mths): On Halloween while carving pumpkins outside she stood up from squatting while not holding onto anything!!! and stood there for a good minute before sitting back down!!! SO exciting! I couldn't see her expression since she was back towards me, but I cheered her lots. (couldn't really move since I was covered in pumpkin guts).
6-yr-old Elena and 4-yr-old Julia.

hello! can you add me please?

thanks!
QOTW:
I was already poofy and still am, but less so now. I've never really had body issues so I don't feel like I have a mom body.
UPDATE:
he is a rolling fool. he will even pull on to things and drag himself across the floor. Last night he curled up on his side and this morning he was twirling his hair and petting the mattress on his tummy!
He's not entirely a fan of the texture of the turkey, but if you add enough goopy other stuff he eats it.
We're having to sorta teach him to have a bm, which is frusterating. He was a rare poooper when just BF and he's still 1x a week pooping now, so this is a pain. We have to add benefiber and see if that helps. along with barely cereal etc. I never thought my life would revolve around poop!
Oh yes. I'm definitely rockin' the mom body. Actually, I pretty much was before I got pg - but I definitely feel much more frumpy now. Loose flabby belly skin and huge saggy boobs that (while I love nursing) I'm looking forward to being able to put into some more supportive bras! I'm working on getting the weight off, and am about 8lbs away from my pre-preg wt (which was still about 30lbs too much). I CAN fit into a lot of my pre-preg clothes, but (call me crazy) I actually choose to wear my maternity pants a lot of the time because they're more comfy...
Updates: Every day is more and more fun. DS looooves music and dancing. When we go into his room to change his diaper now, I play the CD player with a Joe McDermott CD in it. I dance around and clap and act goofy and he gets the biggest kick out of it (literally - kicking his legs and flailing arms and everything). Then we dance around together a lot. He's also discovered his feet big time, and DH swears he can touch his toes on demand! I'm not so convinced - I think he just loves to play with his feet but DH swears that whenever he tells DS "Touch your toes!" he does it on purpose! Oh well, I'm not gonna be the one to burst his bubble...
When 3 Became 4
QOTW: Yep, I have a mom body. I lost all my pg weight and then some after DD, but my stomach was never the same. My muscles separated and Dr. S thinks they are bad enough that exercises won't fix it. So, the only way I'll have a normal looking stomach is with surgery. I'm not talking about the pudge, btw, I have a knot at the top of my stomach that sticks out- lovely. Otherwise, I think my body changed, but it isn't too diferent. As far as my comfort level- it bothers me. I'm getting more used to it as I go through this pregnancy, but I'm bigger than I want to be and feel less motivation and optimism about fixing it.
Updates: 17 months- This is such a great time with DD. She is so easy now and so much fun. She's busy and is becoming more outgoing, but it is just so much fun to watch her learn and develop. She is sleeping on her own for 12+ hours, so that may have something to do with my rosey outlook
fjaril- I know what you mean! I come from work and ask DH how he's doing, what he did today and it's almost always followed by, "did she poop today?" Haha- who would have thought?!
QOTW: I don't know. I go back and forth with being chubsy, but I'm really hoping to get in shape after this DC is born.
Updates: DS is 17 months old today! He loves doing many of the animal sounds and he's learning new words all the time. Yesterday I heard him say 'star' for the first time and he understand so much more than we give him credit for. I asked him to play a song for us on the turtle and even though he was on a different side of the room playing with something else, he ran over to it and pushed the button. Love.him.to.pieces!!!
~NDK~
QOTW: I'm unhappy with my size and I'm working to get in better shape. I weigh less than I did before I got pregnant, but most of my pre-pregnancy clothes do not fit.
Updates: Babytaffy and I have been sick since last week. I just want to sleep and he is full of energy and mischief. He's figured out how to open doors and is causing havoc with his newfound freedom. I put together a tricycle for him last night and he's excited about riding his "cycle-bike", as he calls it. His vocabulary is really expanding and he talks all the time. When we went to vote today, I wore him on my back in an Ergo so he was looking over my shoulder while I voted, and at the appropriate time in the voting process he yelled out "Push button!"
QOTW: I was lucky to lose all my baby weight (plus 5#) when I got pg with ds. I am lucky now that I only have 10 more pounds to lose to get to my pre-pg weight. Do I have a mom's figure? Yes, always have with hips like mine...
Update: DD: Her development is amazing to us. She has responded to the birth of DS with such grace and kindness. Not one temper-tantrum (yet--I'm sure it is coming). Our only hiccup is that she stopped taking her afternoon nap; she plays in her crib and we cannot get her to sleep. We tried putting her down for her nap earlier and later and nothing has worked. I can't wait for her to take her naps again.
DS: doing great! We have some umbilical cord issues but should be fine in a couple of weeks.
Please add me to the list!
