XP: midwife covered by insurance!!

All of the area midwives that do homebirth VBAC's are out-of-network with my insurance. But we requested in-network status because there are no providers in the area that provide this service that are covered. And it was APPROVED!!!!!  I am so excited because this means that really, we won't pay much of anything except for a $25copay for each visit!  I'm just in shock!

    That's great!

    We tried to get our HB covered using the same reasoning.  The response we got was pretty much "well it's your choice to have a home birth so tough luck."  Not surprising but I'm glad your insurance was more accommodating.

    That's great! My CNM and birth center just got contracts for in network coverage on my plan. I'm just as excited as you are!
