  i'm not sure what you mean by "work", but the day after you give birth, a photographer will come to your room (arranged by the hospital) and take photos of your baby, your DH, and you, but mostly of the baby. their poses are really generic, but i loved some of the photos and we didn't have any newborn shots anyway, so we bought the CD of photos. i believe it cost us about $130 or something like that...

  The pictures were nice-though yes generic. If you have a blanket or something you'd like to bring they'll use that. Photographer was really nice.  I thought they were expensive and had our own newborn photos planned so we didn't purchase.

  We didnt have anything special with us, so the lady took a clean white sheet and wrapped it around DD and a flower from one of our bouquets. I just loved the pictures, we were really happy with the pcitures. We only bought the CD and it was something like 130. I have not used them since but was really happy to have had them visit while at Prentice.

  We brought a blanket and a crocheted baby cocoon type thing that they took photos of DD in and they turned out really nice. They also took some with a flower from a bouquet we had in the room. My photographer was actually pretty creative and we purchased the CD. Much better than other generic photos I've seen from other hospitals.
