Drop-in daycare?

Does anyone know of any drop-in daycare available in the DC area?  I occasionally (2-3 times a month) could really use a few hours for doctor's appointments and such.  Arlington/Alexandria area would be great, but I'd be willing to drive a ways for the right place.

 

Sorry if this a dumb question -- I'm new to the area and haven't been able to find anything at all...
